These two are my peers and friends, and as I worked through these photos and thought about their motives and the story we worked to tell here, I had to take a break for a minute, because I just got so overwhelmed. A deep loss recently befell their family, and their response is this: to make photographs of themselves, an epically proud sister and a gifted and gentle brother, and make their love for each other as tangible as possible. I felt it, and I’m pretty sure I can touch it, too.
