Sarah: Family Mini Session

Confession: I didn't get completely permission to shoot on this property.  I know the guy, he's super nice and I knew he wouldn't care, so I just went with it.  And then in the middle of this session, he rolled up on his ATV and completely caught me off guard!  Spoiler alert:  I was right, he didn't care in the least.  Actually, that's not true.  He asked, so I explained a little bit about Sarah and her story (as I know it), and he told me to take as many pictures as I could.

Sarah is graduating from college this December with a teaching degree in one hand and her kindergartener's hand in the other.  SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THAT IS POSSIBLE PLEASE.  She's busted her butt over the past several years in order to get her education, provide for her daughter, and prove something to herself as well.  After I walked back over and told her that her story gave the property owner very literal goosebumps, she kind of laughed and dismissed how inspirational she is--which is humble, but not at all representative of everything she's pushed through, around, and over in order to walk across the stage in a few weeks.

You may or may not have noticed, but a few political candidates have had opportunities to make speeches in the past few days, and one line in particular has stood out to me:  "And to all the little girls who are watching this, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and achieve your own dreams."
