Katie

Katie Grace was FOUR YEARS OLD when I met her fourteen years ago (omg), and I told her how much that weirded me out about forty-two times during this shoot.  Annoying, probably,  cliche, definitely, but also very real.  The older I get the more I realize that cliches become what they are because they are TRUE. 

I digress.

Katie and I had so much fun talking about her family, her senior year, her sports adventures and most importantly, her prom dress (not kidding.  I really like prom dresses.).  She reminds me so much of her older sister, and the more we hung out, the further back in time I went.  Luckily, I narrowly missed going totally high school-nostalgic on her.  We laughed and laughed and found some incredible spots to shoot while we were exploring--judging by the sheer volume of photos here, I'd say the day was a success.

Part of Katie's package was getting to spend some time in front of my loverly film camera.  It's old school, it's challenging, it's a learning process, and it's a LOT OF FUN.  Enjoy some of these great film scans courtesy of The Film Lab!  Can you tell a difference?  Which do you prefer?
